The RADGIL2 is a self- contained X-ray irradiator specifically designed for the irradiation of blood and blood products. It is well-suited for the prevention of Transfusion-associated graft-versus-host disease (TA-GvHD), a rare complication of blood transfusion, and is an effective and safer alternative to Cesium-137 sourced irradiators.
RADGIL2 is safe, easy to use, and does not require any specialized training or radioprotection measures. Parameters of the RADGIL2 can be easily adjusted, allowing the machine to be used for research applications such as the irradiation of:
