Operations Manager

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Operations Manager will plan, organize, and control materials, workflow and shipments related to current, pending and potential sales orders. Functions to be performed, and to supervise where applicable, include but are not limited scheduling and planning production and shipping, performance metric establishment and monitoring, safety, inventory control management, and serve as an inter-department liaison.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work towards meeting and exceeding all company published KPI’s regarding OTD, Quality, Environmental and Safety.
▪ Design and implement plans for the effective use of material and labor resources to achieve Operations target.
▪ Supervise the operations of Production, Purchasing and Warehouse/Shipping personnel to ensure an overall process is within budget and time schedule.
▪ Liaise with the Quality Assurance department to ensure product quality and specifications are consistent.
▪ Develop rolling quarterly production plan for customer orders on hand & ensure critical raw materials availability for scheduled production.
▪ Lead daily “stand up” shop-floor meeting with technicians to review and resolve issues arising the previous day and set expectations for current day.
▪ Prepare and maintain production reports i.e., performance to schedule, downtime, waste &NCP, ship to delivery promise made to customer, production cycle times, etc.
▪ Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output.
▪ Record and assess all materials movement, and expenditure.
▪ Maintain optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements.
▪ Establish procedures and supervise physical inventory.
▪ Ensure that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in relation to all materials department functions.
▪ Oversee the procurement of components and equipment required for Production.
▪ Develop and execute inventory cycle count process to assure high inventory accuracies.
▪ Maintain purchasing, receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
▪ Plan logistics for transportation of products to customers.
▪ Release work tickets in a timely manner.
▪ Plan for implementation of all ECN’s pertaining to purchasing, production and existing inventory.
▪ Performs all other duties as required to meet the company’s goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university, preferably majoring in Business.
▪ 5+ years in an operational or management role.
▪ Expert level experience in Warehouse, Inventory, Planning, Purchasing, and Production Management.
▪ Leads by example, maintains a positive attitude, and accomplishes each task with enthusiasm.
▪ Accustomed to working under tight and ever-changing deadlines as a part of an evolving organization.
▪ Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for productive collaboration across varying departments.
▪ Self-starter, creative thinker, detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and strong management skills.
▪ Must have the ability to work independently and with a team to see projects through completion.
▪ Build and leverage key stakeholder relationships (internally and externally), including sales, marketing, technical, and management teams.
