Quality Associate

SUMMARY OF POSITION
Provides support related to internal and external compliance within the assembly plant and daily operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Acts as a Supplier Quality Representative.
• Manages Quality Process inputs and outputs independently in an eQMS including, but not limited to creation, management, review, and disposition of NCRs, SCARs, Inspections, Deviations, and Complaints.
• Member of MRB team.
• Works internally with Dept heads and externally with Suppliers to close quality gaps where they exist.
• Tracks and trends “cost of quality” data, when required.
• Participates in cross-functional product quality meetings and investigations as required
• Collaborates with manufacturing and quality personnel as required for continuous improvement of the manufacturing process.
• Performs routine quality inspections of the manufacturing process.
• Assists in the maintenance of Supplier evaluation and performance monitoring program.
• Perform in-process and final inspection activities.
• Performs all other duties as required to meet the company’s goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma required. College courses or diploma preferred.
• Degree, certification, or experience in Quality field(s) or technical disciplines preferred.
• Experience with electronic Quality Management software (preferably Arena).
• Experience with failure investigations and root cause analysis strongly preferred.
• Must thrive in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of basic Inspection activities such as sampling plans and go/no-go tests.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft suite of products such as Word and Excel.
• Must be able to manage time efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work independently and make good judgments.
• Must have good mathematical skills.
• Must communicate effectively across departments.
