In-House Service X-Ray Technician

Summary of Position
Precision X-Ray, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to join our growing team for factory and field support (some travel required). This position reports to the Service Manager.
Key Responsibilities
• Primary point of contact for incoming technical support via phone, email, or remote service.
• Maintain detailed and accurate service records in the CRM, including service reports, equipment manuals, and customer communication logs.
• Provide support to Field Service Technicians and Sales, dealers as needed.
• Perform factory evaluations, repairs, and testing of replacement parts as needed.
• Maintain service work area and test beds.
• Create and maintain detailed and accurate service records in CRM, including service reports, equipment manuals, and customer communication logs. As well as ECNs management
• Assist with Service Inventory.
• Works closely with our Service Coordinator to help facilitate scheduling of repairs and replacement parts.
• Directs Field Service personnel as needed when in-house.
• Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to provide feedback on product performance, potential improvements, and common issues encountered in the field.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, product advancements, and technical developments to enhance personal and team knowledge.
• Occasionally perform on-site installation and preventative maintenance of X-ray devices, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
• Perform additional duties as required to meet company objectives and goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Knowledge of mechanical assemblies with the ability to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electronic and mechanical components.
• Strong understanding of X-ray technology and associated systems.
• Familiarity with software diagnostics and system integration.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in servicing and maintaining X-ray devices or similar equipment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, especially in conflict resolution situations.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and find innovative solutions to technical challenges.
• Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Focused on providing quality customer service while keeping the company’s goals and focus in mind.
• Work closely with customers both nationally and internationally from a variety of different industries
• Ensure that team priorities and goals are met and or exceeded.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive working environment.
• Must effectively use a variety of computer software to maintain client relationships, including CRM, ERP, and Office applications.
• Understanding X-ray systems and dosimetry is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or x-ray imaging is preferred.
Education and Training Requirements
A technical degree or equivalent in electronics. A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, or X-ray Imaging is preferred.
